Mtu akiambiwa kuwa kulia na kutoa machozi ni dawa, anaweza akaona kama ni kichekesho ama unamtania vile. Ndugu zangu, kulia na kutoa machozi ni dawa, tena ni dawa kweli kweli. Akina mama wengi hulia mara kwa mara, wakipatwa na shida ama tatizo. Suluhu ya kwanza waitafutayo wakipatwa na tatizo ni kulia. Kwa kujua, ama kutojua wamefaidika sana na siri hii, na wameitumia kwa faida ya miili na hisia zao.

Kwa bahati mbaya wanaume wengi hawafaidiki na ukweli huu. Wengi huibeza tiba hii kwa kujua au kutojua. Kiukweli, kutokujua huku kunaigharimu afya ya miili na nafsi zao. Aidha jamii kwa ujumla wake, wanachukulia kulia kama tabia inayoashiria udhaifu wa mtu. Wengi huchukulia kulia kuwa ni tabia ya kike na pia ni ya kitoto. Wao huona kuwa mtu mzima mwenye akili timamamu hapashwi kulia asilani. Ukweli ni kwamba mtu mzima mwenye akili timamu anapashwa kujua njia mbalimbali za kuondoa machungu yanayomsibu katika maisha yake. Njia mojawapo ni kulia.

Kuna msemo usemao “ moyo mzito ni kama mawingu mazito angani, ambayo huondoa uzito wake kwa kuachilia maji yatoke. Au huzuni bila machozi hutoa damu kwa ndani. Machozi ni matamshi ambayo moyo hauwezi kuelezea na pia mwili hutumia machozi kudhihirisha maumivu ambayo mdomo umeshindwa kuelezea. Hebu tutafakari maneno haya mazito.

Naamini kwa maelezo hayo ni dhahiri kwamba wengi tumetumia machozi yetu kwenye tiba mbalimbali za mioyo yetu, iwe kwenye mema au hata kwenye mabaya. Inapobidi kutoa machozi tufanye hivyo bila kuona aibu ama kuogopa. Tusipofanya hivyo tutaumiza afya zetu, hususani, afya zetu za akili. Kwa afya ya akili yako, lia utakavyo, piga kelele ikibidi, ili mradi uondoe kilo nyingi zilizomo moyoni mwako. Usihifadhi nambo mazito moyoni mwako, yatakuumiza. Mioyo yetu haina uwezo wa kubeba tani nyingi za mizigo, tujihadhali sana.

The Healing Hands Project

The Healing Hands empowers people to achieve financial autonomy by building entrepreneurial skills and embedding skills transfer within the community – alleviating poverty as a driver of ill mental health. Funds raised from the jewelry will help sustain free mental health services in underserved communities and promote the economic empowerment of trained grandmothers who implementing #WHO #mhGAP evidence-based psychosocial interventions. The project provides interpersonal counseling, group talk therapy, and psychoeducation resources, referrals, advocacy and awareness raising delivered through arts.
