Kuna mwanamke mmoja alikuwa ameolewa. Kwa bahati mbaya alikuwa anamchukia sana mume wake. Alitamani kumtoa uhai wake, alitaka kumuua. 

Alienda kwa mama yake kumweleza kisa chake na azma aliyokuwa nayo ya kutaka kumuua. Sababu kubwa aliyoitoa kwa mamake ni kuwa alikuwa hampendi. Alidai kuwa mume wake alikuwa amebadilika sana na kwamba alikuwa hataki kabisa hata kumsikia wala kumuona. Sababu kubwa aliyoitoa ni mumewe amebadilika sana. Aliendelea kudai kuwa mume wake hamuambii asante na wala hamsifii na kumpa mapenzi kama ilivyokuwa zamani.

Msaada aliouhitaji kutoka kwa mama yake ni jinsi ya kumuua mume wake bila kugundulika na mtu yeyote yule! Mama yake alimpatia sumu ya rangi nyeupe. Alielekezwa na mama yake kuwa yampasa amuwekee mume wake hiyo sumu kwenye chakula. Akifanya hivyo, hiyo sumu itamuua taratibu mume wake ndani ya siku thelathini. Na ili asigundulike kama ni yeye aliyemuua, itabidi ahakikishe anamfanyia mume wake matendo mazuri ili kumzuga asiweze kugundua hila yake. Hali kadhalika, alishauriwa kuwa, katika siku hizo 30, kabla ya kufa kwake, ahakikishe anampa mapenzi yote na kwa mbwembwe zote.

Yule mwanamke alivyorudi nyumbani kwa mume wake, alijitayarisha ipasavyo, alivaa vizuri, akajipamba vema. Alimuandalia mumewe chakula akipendacho, aliiweka ile sumu. Mume wake alipomaliza kula, alimuangalia mkewe kwa jinsi alivyojipamba. Alijikuta anamwambia mkewe “Asante sana mke wangu kwa chakula hiki kitamu.” 

Huku akitabasamu, mke aliendelea na maagizo ya mama yake na kadri siku zilivyokuwa zikiyoyoma, mumewe alibadilika na kuwa kama alivyokuwa zamani. Alianza kutoka naye, akawa anamletea zawadi kila ilipompendeza. Alianza kukaa naye karibu na pia kuweza kumpa maneno matamu. Kwa kifupi, alikuwa anamsifia na kumpatia aina zote za mapenzi. Kwa hakika kulianza kuonekana mabadiliko makubwa katika mahusiano yao. 

Siku zilizidi kusonga mbele hadi zile thelathini zikakaribia kuisha. Hata ilipofika siku ya Ishirini na Tisa yule mwanamke alienda mbio kwa mama yake..! Kumbuka ile sumu ilikuwa inachukua siku 30 Kuua..!

Alipofika kwa mama yake, akawa analia huku akimwambia, “Mama, naomba nisaidie. Nampenda mume wangu, na leo ni siku ya 29. Ina maana, imebaki siku moja tu mume wangu afe. Nampenda sana mume wangu, siku hizi amebadilika sana. Amekuwa na mapenzi zaidi ya pale mwanzo. Sitaki mume wangu afe”🙆🏽‍♂️🙆🏽‍♂️

Mama yake alicheka sana huku akisema, “Mumeo amebadilika kwa sababu na wewe umebadilika. Naomba nikukumbushe kuwa, wewe mwenyewe ulikuwa na tabia mbaya sana kwa mumeo. Tabia hizo chafu ndizo zilimfanya mumeo awe mbaya kwako. Ulikuwa ukiishi naye vibaya.” Mama yake Aliendelea kwa kusema, “Kwa sasa mwanangu umekuwa na tabia nzuri na pia unaishi naye vizuri. Matendo na tabia yako ya sasa imemfanya mumeo awe mwema kwako.”

Yule Mwanamke alilia sana na kumuomba mama yake amsaidie, alisema, “Naomba unisaidie mama ili mume wangu asife.”

Mama akamwambia, “Usijali mwanangu. Haina haja ya kulia kwani ile sumu niliyokupatia ilikuwa sio sumu, bali ilikuwa ni rangi ya chakula! Kwa hiyo hatakufa..!

Simulizi hii inatufundisha kuwa tusipende kuwaona watu ni wabaya kutokana na matendo yao kwetu. Inatupasa tujichunguze sisi wenyewe kwanza, ni wapi tunakosea ili tuweze kujirekebisha sisi wenyewe kwanza kabla kuvuka mipaka, hadi kufikiria kutoa uhai wa mtu. Mtu anaweza akaanza kuwa mbaya kwako kutokana na matendo yako. Yatupasa tuhakikishe kuwa tunatenda yale yapaswayo kwa wenzi wetu kuliko kuangalia mabaya tu ambayo mara nyingi yanaweza kuwa yanasababishwa na sisi wenyewe. Kuwa mwema utauona wema wa uliye naye, na uovu wake utauona kwa uhalisia.

The Healing Hands Project

The Healing Hands project will economically empower people to achieve financial autonomy by building entrepreneurial skills and embedding skills transfer within the community – eliminating poverty as a driver of ill mental health. Funds raised from the jewelry will help sustain the implementation of accessible psychosocial interventions in underserved communities and promote the economic empowerment of the grandmothers who have been trained in and are implementing WHO’s mental health Gap Action Program. Healing Hands provides interpersonal counseling, group talk therapy, and psychoeducation resources delivered through arts, where clients learn to handcraft traditional beaded jewelry as a marketable skill.
